Congratulations to the 2006 OLS Knights (15-16 yrs. old) who won 3 Championships - Prospect Park Baseball, RBI and Diamond Pros Wooden Bat Fall Ball League!
For the 1st time the Knights play with wooden bats (and ranked 4th), they take the Championship in the Diamond Pros Fall Ball League beating the 1st place team and then defeating the 2nd place team in a single game elimination. In RBI, the Knights went undefeated in the regular season, ranked #1. In Prospect Park, the Knights, ranked 3rd, upset the #1 PYO Eagles to win the Championship in a best 2 out of 3 games. The players on the team are: Eli Abreu, Vimanuel Corali, Luis Cruz, Ralphy Duran, Marvin Garcia, Keith Herring, Angel Iglesias, Jhonathan Padilla, Anthony Pagan, Francisco Pena, Jacob Ramos, Roland Rivera, Daniel Rodriguez, Wilfredo Romero Jr., Luis Rosario, Dale Sanchez, Jose Santiago. For the Fall Ball, Dale did not play but Evio Isaac and Arthur Levin were added. The coaches are Tony Rivera, Eric Perez, Yvette Rivera, Marcelo Perez.
Congratulations to the 2006 OLS Titans (13-14 yrs. old) who won the Championship in the South Brooklyn Baseball League!
The Titans, ranked 3rd, upset the #1 Cougars to win the Championship. Now they are headed to the Cal Ripken Tournament in Maryland. The players on the team are: Javier Aviles, Luis Bido, John Diaz, Giovanni Flores, Kevin Frias, Carlos Guerrero, Austin Laboy, Miles McKenzie, Enmanuel Mendoza, Manny Nunez, Francisco Pena, Alberto Priego, Nicholas Sanchez, Brandon Torres, Joseph Turuseta. The coaches are Gil Torres, Francisco Pena Sr., Allen Matias, Nolan Matias.

2005 Opening Day Ceremony
City Council Member Margarita Lopez and candidate for office, Rosie Mendez visit OLS Church for its 46th Baseball/Softball Opening Day Ceremony on Saturday, April 23rd. The festivities began in the Church with some words by the Sports Director, Theresa Falcon, 2004 Season Highlights presentation, a supportive speech by the Council member and a blessing from Father Joseph Gurdak, the Pastor. The ceremony continued outside the Church with a parade by the teams and their banners to Field #4 escorted by the 7th Precinct and the Fire House Engine 17 Ladder 18. A police officer, a firefighter and the Pastor threw the ceremonial first pitches to initiate the season for all 3 baseball/softball divisions.

Player in NCAA Division II
One of our previous league players, Gabriel Rivera, who played for the Knights and is currently a freshmen in college on a baseball scholarship plays in the NCAA Division II. Congratulations to Gabriel for being one of the few freshmen selected and to his father Luis Rivera, one of our previous managers in the Super Little League and Pony Divisions.
